Welcome back to the channel, ladies and gentlemen, hope you're all doing well. Today we're gonna take a quick look at the new Proton kit, the very popular Innokin Proton mod and sub-ohm tank combo. Now, it comes with a new tank called the Plex and it also comes in some new colors, which I will show you. And this is obviously the gray and blue version, which is my favorite color combo. So let's go ahead and dive into it.

So inside, you're gonna have some accessories over here, just like the first version of this, the... It's not a version, it's still the same mod, but now it comes with a different tank. But just like the original Proton kits, you're gonna have a charging cable and all that jazz. Then you have this nice little card, your Proton mod, the Plex tank and then an extra bubble glass and an extra mesh coil. Now, one of the claims to fame with this kit is that this tank does now have a triple mesh coil, which I will show you. So, here is the new tank. You got your AFC down here, one and two. There's your 510 pen. When used on Hybrid top-cap mech mods, of course, it comes with one of these little snakeskin resin drip tips. This is an 810, but it's got the o-rings on it, so other 810s with o-rings should fit just fine in this. To fill, you push up right there and you fill right down in there.

Now let's go ahead and take a look at the coil, and there it is. So, it's not your standard mesh, it's more of that netting material that we've seen in other coil heads like this. Because if you were to use solid mesh in here, the resistance would just be too low. So this one comes out to 0.13, Kanthal, rated for 80-110 watts. Let's go ahead and prime this up back together. Also, it's says Plex right there. So now, let's go to fill. Now, one thing I wish with this tank is that this fill port was larger. I noticed with some tips and thicker liquids, it can get clogged up. So you really wanna keep your tip off to one side so air can release, and sometimes you gotta fill it a little bit slowly. It doesn't get clogged until you get up to the top of that coil head there. And of course, it's not happening now that we're on camera. But I did have problems before where that hole gets clogged up with liquid. Close it back up and there we are. And here is the other coil head that this comes with. This is a single mesh coil. It looks kinda like a strip coil actually. And this is Scion coil. These coils are interchangeable with that Scion II tank that came with the Proton kits. So keep that in mind, you're gonna be able to get that triple coil for your tank if you already have the Scion... The Scion II.

Now, let's look at this mod. So, gray and blue, my favorite color combo if you haven't noticed. Just look at half my clothing. So, I love this color combination here. I think it looks awesome. I used the original Proton a ton. I still use it. It's gotten scuffed up, like you could see right there 'cause I dropped it. I used it hard. The buttons on both do feel a little different. This one seems to have a little more click, but the bar has a little more play than on this one as you can see. So, kind of interesting that that happened. Now, I'm not gonna go into full detail with this mod, I already did a full review on this. Check out my original Proton review, I'll put a link in the description. So let's go ahead and put some batteries in. Positive up on that side, negative up on that side. Let's close it. We'll put our tank on and there we are. Three clicks, just go same, and now we're in wattage mode. So, if you wanna see me dive deep into this menu, I do it on the original Proton video, check that out. But, I love this color combo. It's amazing, I love gray and blue.

So, I'll show you the other colors real quick. This is the one that I have been using, it's the rainbow version. So you got white with some rainbow accents, a rainbow tank, and here is the red version. It's like a red and gun metal. So, there they are all together, very nice looking kits indeed. So let's go up top, we will vape this one, we'll talk about that coil head a little bit and I'll give you some final thoughts. Okay, here I have the Proton, the gray and blue Proton with the Plex tank up top with that triple coil. Air flow is wide open, it's reading 0.15. I have it at 80 watts, let's go head and vape it.

Nice, smooth draw with that triple mesh coil that they have in here. As far as pros and cons with the new tank and this new coil, my biggest con really is I wish that the fill port was a little bit bigger in the tank. Also, I wish it held a little bit more liquid. Only holds 4mLs and this triple coil is gonna suck through the juice quite fast. What you'll notice with this coil head compared to maybe a single mesh coil? First off, I think that you get a smoother draw because you have three smaller holes as opposed to one big hole. But your vapor is also a bit denser, and I've said that in other mesh coil videos. Also, is that with the triple coil, I'm not gonna say that the flavor's just so much better than single mesh coils, but I definitely notice a difference in density of vape. So, I dig these coil heads. I just wish the tank held a little more liquid and I wish the fill port was a little bit larger on it.

Now, as far as the new colors of the mod, it's a Proton. I love the Proton, one of the best mods of the year in my opinion. Only difference, like I showed you guys in the up close that I noticed, is the button just feels different. The click's a little different compared to the original here. This one has a little more of a springy sound, this one's more of a crisp click. But I did notice with the original, the fire bar doesn't move at all. And with the new one, the fire bar does move a bit. So they're putting a different mechanism or something like that in there. Does this fire bar bother me? Do you notice it in day-to-day use? Not really, but it's definitely worth mentioning. That's really the only difference other than the color that I have noticed. And so I'll say it again, if you haven't seen anything on the Proton yet other than this video, I would definitely suggest watching my first video on this. It's a gush fest for sure, because I think it's a really good mod-and-kit combo. But if you already have the original kit, do you need this kit? No, unless you want the new colors and you want the new tank. But keep in mind, you'll be able to buy these coil heads separately, these triple coil heads, and put them in your Scion II tank, that's the tank that came with the original.

So, really what it comes down to is, is do you want the new colors? If you don't have any of these yet, should you jump in and grab one? Yeah, if you like sub-ohm tank and mod combos. Even if you're not that into sub-ohm tanks but you like the look of the mod and you love the interface and all that, go for it. It's a solid mod, and I could tell you right now, it's gonna be in my top five for the year. So, you're gonna be able to get this whole kit for about 65 bucks. Is it worth it? Yes, it's absolutely worth it. I can absolutely suggest buying this if these are the types of devices you like. And this gray and blue is just sexy to me, it's one that I'm gonna continue to use for sure. I think that's the end. That about wraps it up until next time. Thanks for watching Suck My Mod.
