Hello.
Oh, I touched your butt. I'm sorry.
Alright and welcome back to this week's episode of Two Minute Tuesdays. This week we're gonna be talking about nicotine strengths and which one suits you best. And as the show goes we're gonna do that in two minutes or less. Timer is going to be right here. Let's get to it. So nicotine is a bit of a confusing topic. You have a variety of levels of nicotine starting from a super low to extremely high. And a lot of people tend to get a bit confused as to which nicotine strength suits them best. And hopefully this video will answer those questions. So to start out, nicotine is actually a chemical that your body naturally expels. Now the main difference between the nicotine that you get from a cigarette to say a vape, is when you are smoking cigarettes not only are you getting nicotine from the cigarette itself but also getting a bunch of extra chemicals with it. So those extra chemicals almost trap the nicotine in your body. That's why you say if you smoke a pack a day you're gonna be smoking a pack a day till the day that you decide to quit.
Now were vaping it's a little bit different is, there's no extra chemicals along side the nicotine that you're getting with the vape. So your body is naturally able to expel all that nicotine. So for example when I first started vaping I started with 18 milligrams of nicotine. So, as time went by I went from 18 to 12, 12 to 6 and now I'm on 3 milligrams. The reason why this happens is as you are vaping over time your body does naturally expel all that nicotine. So you'll notice that, say if you're vaping 18 milligrams after a few months, you're gonna notice that 18 milligrams is a bit harsh for you. That's essentially your body telling you that it's time to drop from 18 down to 12 milligrams and eventually you'll hit a really low nicotine strength or even zero milligrams and you won't even need to use the vape at all.
Now there are a lot of factors deciding on which nicotine strength to get down to, what tank you're using, how much power you're outputting. For example, when I first started vaping I was using an Aspire Nautilus tank. Now the Nautilus really does not output a lot of vapor so I needed more nicotine. Now, fast forward to when I got my first sub-ohm set up which was the Subtank which doesn't feel like that long ago, but it was a very long time ago. The infamous Subtank. I dropped from 12 milligrams down to 6 milligrams because the Subtank outputted so much more vapor that I didn't need as much nicotine. Now a lot of people have this misconception that they're smoking a pack a day so they need lots of nicotine. That's not quite the case. Say for example if you're smoking a pack a day and you're using a sub-ohm setup a six milligram should be more than enough for you.
Now what nicotine does to the juice is the more nicotine that you have, the harsher that juice is gonna be. If you're starting on something say, like a Nautilus 2 or any mouth-to-lung device, I would start with 12 milligrams and see how that affects you. If it's not enough nicotine for you then by all means jump up to 18 milligrams but 12 milligrams out of the mouth-to-lung device is definitely a good place to start. Now a good thing to mention is, it's always better to have too little nicotine rather than too much nicotine. That's because if you have not enough nicotine you're just gonna be using the device more. Whereas if you have too much nicotine you're not even gonna be able to use the device at all.
