Aspire has a new version of the Cleito Tank, question is, is it any good?
Welcome to the Vapor Trail Channel, I'm Tony. Excuse my hoarse voice, I've got a little bit of a cough and a sore throat. I must have picked something up. I went to a Steel Panther concert over the weekend and might have partied a little bit. Yeah, so who knows what happens when you do that, right? But yeah, if you've been watching this channel for any length of time, or if you've asked me on a forum or on Facebook or in the comments. Hey Tony, what's a good, simple sub-ohm tank? I almost always will say Have you tried the Aspire Cleito? I love that tank. I've got four of those. I've got two of the Cleito 120s and I use them all the time. I've got the re-buildable section for them and I use those, but I tend to just use the 0.4 ohm coil because it's such a great coil. Flavor off the tank is fantastic. I've rarely gotten a bad coil, and it's just, it's a great all around simple sub-ohm tank. So when I saw that they had the EXO coming out, I was like, Oh that looks really cool: Looks like you got metal protecting the glass and all that kind of stuff, and I was like Oh yeah, and then I got it and I was like, Huh? Okay, where is the air flow control? I don't see any air flow control in here. The inside seems like it's not glass. What is the deal with that?
Well, I did talk to them and they said, Well the inside is actually made of a... What is that? I'm gonna show you the website right now because I'm probably gonna get this wrong but PCFG, I think is what it is. Kiki at Aspire says that it is an FDA-approved food-grade material for food delivery systems, that type of thing so it should work well for this. And in the past, we've seen that cinnamon or citrus-y liquids would crack the plastic that was used in these tanks, not this tank specifically, but vaping tanks. This one I actually ran cinnamon liquid through one and I ran a citrus liquid through one and I let them be in there for a good amount of time and I see no issues at all.
I am gonna give you a chance to score one of these. I've got a rainbow version of it and everybody seems to love that, so I'm gonna give that away. I'm also gonna throw in a couple of extra 0.4ohm coils, 'cause that's my favorite coil from them. And I'll just give you a couple of my own personal coils that I have around here stockpiled. I'll also throw a couple liquids or something in the package too, to beef it up a little bit for you. So yeah, $10 PayPal fee in order to claim it. It is US shipping only, Google form is right down below in the description. Just fill that out and good luck to you.
Let's go and dig in and let me show it to you. So, the e-liquid that I'm using in this one is from Mod Milk, it is their Grape Mod Milk, one of their new flavors. They've got an orange and grape, they just describe it as Great milky goodness and I just said Well, I'll give it a shot 'cause I love the pink version of this, it's like an all day vape everyday for me. As it turns out, this one's really good. I don't like the green one from them so much, it's kind of, I don't get that one. The blue is pretty good, this one is really, very good and I haven't tried the orange one but I do have it here. I'll put a link down in the description where you can get it and a coupon code. This is some tasty stuff or here, great milky goodness. So yeah, I kinda had mixed feelings on this one because when I looked at it I was like, Oh cool, I'm excited. I love the Cleito tank. Now, this is not like the Cleito 2, this is the Cleito EXO. It's separate. Let me go ahead and show you the box first, I'm using this on the Archon from Aspire. It says here on the box convenient top fill, leak-proof top airflow, tremendous flavor and vapor production, fully interchangeable coils with Cleito tank, which I think is a big plus.
Here's the back of it, if you wanna read that, go ahead and pause it.
Got a warranty card in here, got an extra coil in here. This is the 0.4 ohm coil. It's rated at 40 to 60 watts. I usually run these at about 45 watts. This is the same coil as the previous Cleito. They give you a couple of extra o-rings inside there and you also get another sleeve for your drip tip, because just like the original Cleito, this pops off and you've got an o-ring on there holding that on. This is the one that I've been using, the black one. One thing that is an issue right off the bat is that it's really dark, it's hard for me to see. I mean I can see the liquid level right now, its right around the I in Aspire, but you've gotta have some light on it in order to be able to see that. Of course it's on both sides. But yeah, with the black one it is a little bit more difficult to see your liquid. That's a whole window that goes all the way down right there. Now, what you see here on the outside is also what the tank is lined with and they tell me that this is not only FDA approved for food-grade uses but that it is not going to crack under use with liquids with citrus and cinnamon and all that and I did try because that's one of the reasons why I spend a little bit more time with this one. While I don't like cinnamon e-liquid, I tried one in here and I left it in there for a couple of days, no problems. Then I tried a citrus one and left it in there for about a week, also no problems.
So this one here is the one that you can score. It is the rainbow anodized addition and it's pretty cool. I figured, well I'll save that one for you. So as you see it says Aspire here on the side, it's got the nice window on this one and this one you're gonna be able to see a lot better to see your liquid because it's not a smoke colored window. Here's the base of it, again, this drip tip thing pops off of here, it's more like a sleeve. Now, I've got some third party drip tips for my original Cleito and they work just fine on here, so that's pretty cool. So here's how this tank works. The big thing that I had mixed feelings, I was like, Where the heck is the air flow on this thing. I could not figure out how to adjust the air flow. Well, guess what, you can't. There is no air flow adjustment on this, it's basically wide open all the time, but it's not a very airy draw, it's actually a little bit tighter draw than the original Cleito when it's all the way open and that's how I always... You know, it's funny because we've got all these air flows on these things, but what do I do? I leave them all the way open. So is it really a bad thing? I don't know, I mean, that's gonna be up to you.
So the top of it screws off, it's got some nice knurling on here, that screws off in order to fill it and to disassemble the tank. That looks kinda like the original Cleito top. You can see that material pretty well in here, it's the entire inside of this thing is that material, then you got metal on the outside. Now, the big plus to that is you are not gonna break this tank. There is no way to break the glass, I guess you could break the plastic, right. The way that this air flow works is it comes in through that slot and that slot, it goes down the side of the tank, and then it hits down at the bottom and goes back up. Here's an illustration from their website, it makes it a little bit easier to understand. You can see how the air's just gonna come in through the sides, go all the way down, it kinda goes through the outer lining of the tank, gets downs at the bottom and right back up through the center of the coil.
So you're still gonna get that really nice flavor because we know these coils are what makes that flavor so well. And it's supposed to be virtually leak-proof. I've actually laid these things down and left them laying down, and no problems, it doesn't leak. Right, so to pull this off, you just do the same thing as you would with the Cleito Glass, you just kind of push it to the sides right there, you've got a o-ring down here, and then a really fat o-ring right there, and then this is the coil that comes pre-installed. This is a 0.16 ohm coil rated at 60 to 100 watts, and it is definitely fatter than the original coil. See, this is the 0.4 ohm coil, this is the.16 ohm coil and I gotta tell you, I prefer the 0.4 ohm coil. Not only does this take up more space inside the tank, which I think possibly is to make it compatible with the TPD rules, but you also might need a bigger housing to take care of a coil that will do 60 to 100 watts. The insides then look slightly different...
So this base, you've got that o-ring here and an o-ring right there. That o-ring that's right there seals off right above where this air flow is coming out down here in the bottom. So, that's that whole base. It's an interesting concept. So, the air is gonna come down on the outside of this o-ring right here by way of the inside of this, then go into those holes right there and back up through the coil. I'm just gonna put this back together the way that it came because this is, somebody is gonna have this one, this is the one I'm actually giving away. So now you can see where these holes are right here, those holes right there where the air is gonna be coming out and you'll see that it's kind of got a channel that goes all the way the entire height of this barrel. So, once you put your coil in there, just pop this back down to reassemble it.
So yeah, you'll just fill it up by putting the liquid here in the sides and then you just put this cap back on by screwing it directly on to the coil. And there you go. So yeah, there is no airflow control on this thing whatsoever, but when I use a Cleito tank I typically use it with the airflow wide open anyways, so to some people it's gonna be like Oh, that's just, that's a no-go, that's a fail. So, if that's the case, then the tanks not for you. The plastic material that's inside the tank seems to be a very good quality. Haven't had any problems with cracking or anything like that. So, do I wish it was glass? Sure, but the way that it's set up now, it's kind of, I don't know, I don't wanna say indestructible, but it's a lot more difficult to really mess the tank up just from a spill or from falling or something. And speaking of spill, I have not had one leak from this thing. They're kind of touting it as leak-free. I don't know if any tank is leak-free. So I've got this at 45 watts, I find that 44 to 48 watts is a great range for the 0.4 ohm coil. Let's go ahead and get a vape.
Yeah, it works really well. The draw on this is a little bit tighter than the original Cleito with the airflow all the way open, and you can't open the airflow or close it any more than it already is. Seems to work really well though, it's a little bit tighter draw but it seems to give it a little tiny bit of an edge on flavor. It's a little bit more flavorful than the original Cleito, which is extremely flavorful. So I'm gonna give the edge on flavor to the Cleito EXO, just a tiny hair. Well, this e-liquid, this Mod Milk Purple, it is grape-y, milky goodness, that's all they describe it on their website as, and it is, it is really very good. My wife was like I don't know, grape milk? And I'm like Trust me, it's very tasty. So, if you're interested in this, I got a link down in the description for where you can find it and a coupon code. I know that Brad's Vapor is carrying the Aspire Cleito EXO. So, I'll put a link down there for Brad's Vapor. Of course, we know Brad's Vapor is a trusted site for me.
Man, my voice is getting a little bit worse, and my throat is hurting. So I'm gonna make this a little bit short. If you wanna score one of these, I've got the Rainbow version of it, all you gotta do is fill out that Google Form, it's right down below the video on the description. It's US shipping only, $10 PayPal fee in order to claim it. I'm gonna throw in a couple of extra coils for you on the 0.4 ohm coils. I'll see if I can find a couple of e-liquids around here to throw in there for you as well. Wanna thank you so much for your support here on the channel.
