Video Transcript: Eleaf iStick 20w Mod Review Mod by IndoorSmokers

Hey, guys, it is Review Wednesday here on IndoorSmokers, and today we're gonna be taking a look at a 20W mod that can fit in the palm of your hand. Can you tell which hand it's in? The iStick by Eleaf.

Well, I hope you guys are having a good day where you're at. It's kind of chilly up here in the northwest, although I know it's nothing compared to a lot of you on the East Coast and the Midwest are dealing with right now. But nonetheless, it's making me feel a little bit tired. I'm dragging ass today like a dog on a carpet. But we're gonna push forward and take a look at this Eleaf iStick today, a 20W, variable wattage, variable voltage mod. I first saw this from Tia when she came down and did a review on it, but I've actually had tons of people ask about it. And now that I've got it, I can really see why it has been so popular, especially among the ladies.

A very impressive mod, 20W possibility, although it's not gonna vape on 20W on every tank. I'll talk more about that in a minute. And it is a 2200 mAh battery. So you're gonna have a 2200 mAh compared to a 2800 mAh on an MVP, but you're talking about something much tinier. So I have to say, I was pretty impressed with the battery size on this. I expected it to be like a 1600 mAh. And it does charge off of a cellphone, there you go, any cellphone charger, and you can use it as a pass-through as well when it is charging. So that gives you a nice option, if the battery isn't enough to get you through the whole day.

So, a very sleek, elegant design. As you can see, only three buttons on the side and the screen's right there, I'll turn it on and you'll see that in a second. And then one of the features I really did like about this, rather than coming with the thread covers or the plinth that you would put on here when you're gonna use the full-sized tanks, because obviously this fits well for the Minis, like this AeroTank Mini. And it does vape incredible! Tiniest beast you can get! But the part I wanted to show you guys on here is that rather than having to use a thread cover, if you're gonna use a full-sized tank, like say you were gonna put your Nautilus Aspire Mini on here and you didn't want it to look like that, well, rather than using the thread covers, you just take this piece right off and you can go right on the main unit itself. And the vape's awesome on this too.

Big ass clouds. Now, the highest you are going to be able to turn this thing up, you got actually your arrow buttons here to turn it up and down, your volt or wattage, your button here, I'll show you how to switch from volts to watts in just a second. But one of the things that I did wanna show you guys is that you're gonna be limited to 5.5V, which means there's gonna be a maximum wattage you're gonna be able to use, depending on the resistance of your coils. Now, if you hit the button three times, you can switch from wattage to voltage mode. There you go. So you just turn the button, you can click it to turn it up in 0.1 increments, or you can just hold it down for a second, and then it will just run by itself. So 5.5V max, that is about one of the few limitations on this. So depending on the resistance of your coils, you're only gonna be able to go up so high.

This is, in essence, a box mod, it's a self-contained battery, you charge right off the unit, which is a little bit of a reduced price cost as well, because you don't need to buy a battery charger, you don't need to buy separate batteries. I mean, you're probably talking 15-20 bucks by the time you get a couple of nice ones and a good battery charger. So this is a very inexpensive way to start out, sort of like the Innokin MVP, which is a lot of people's favorite beginner mods; this is the Shine version, but they also have the plain ones. Now this is a very similar style, the only difference is you're not gonna be able charge things off of this the way you can off an MVP. So if you're somebody who constantly runs out of charge on your cellphone, if you wanna be able to use your battery power to charge that, then this may not be the mod for you.

Unfortunately, this will not allow you to vape on a sub-ohm coil. So I have the 0.8 coil in here, and as you can see, it does read it. So it is reading it as 0.8, and it will go all the way up to 20W right now, but it will not fire. So this is not something you're gonna be able to use the new Atlantis coils or the sub-ohm coils from Kanger right now. But most of the other tanks do vape great on this, so I don't think that's a huge issue unless you're really wanting to get into that sub-ohm vaping. This still puts out a good vape. So it really just kind of depends on your limitations and what you're looking for, but if you've got a big mod at home that you are using your sub-ohms on and you're using this just to take with you out on the road or to school or wherever you're going, I think it does make a nice, second mod as well.

I find it vapes awesome with the original coils in any of the Aero tanks or the Nautilus Aspire Minis. I mean, anytime you can put out clouds like that out of something this size, you can't really complain. So I'd have to say all in all, a very impressive little mod. So it does vape great, but you're not really getting something like this for power, you're getting it for the size and convenience. But for its size, it does pack a lot of power as well. So you guys are just gonna have to decide what type of vaping you're planning on doing and what exactly you wanna use this for. But I will put a link underneath this video if you wanna go check out the Eleaf iStick for yourself.

Like I said, it is pretty impressive. And I know it's been very popular with the ladies; it's probably Tia's favorite mod right now. She couldn't say enough good things about it. Alright, guys. And then tomorrow, I'm actually gonna have a special product review for you. It's a surprise, and no, it wasn't in that preview I showed you guys yesterday. So it actually came in after I did that video yesterday, so it was a surprise for me, too. But we're gonna be taking a look at a new tank tomorrow. So make sure you tune in tomorrow to catch that. Subscribe to this channel if you haven't already. I wish all of you guys a good vaping day.
