Introducing the first ever AI vape mod by SMOK, the SMok I-Priv 230W that is a box mod which is able to output power up to 230W, perfect for the serious vapers out there. In addition to that, this device has a large range of voice control as well as a TFT display that shows lots of essential data on the screen for the user, such as a featured full temperature control suite. The SMOK I-Priv is voice activated, which means that all you have to do to get certain actions out of your e cig is to say simple commands such as "Power Up", "Power Down", "Light Color", "Screen Color", "Light On", "Lock Device", "TC Mode", and more! Using two high amp 18650 or 20700 batters that are sold separately, you will be able to vape all day long without needing a recharge half way through the day. Something that's included with the I-Priv is a brand new SMOK TFV12 Prince Sub Ohm tank that uses the best parts of the two most renowned tanks to create one masterful one, packing in a great size and an affordable coil family.

Hey. What's up, man? What's going on, man? How's everything going? Everything is good? Good ol' I-Priv. Man, I'll tell you what, I'm not even gonna go into the whole introduction of SMOK 'cause everybody knows at this point how much they love or they hate SMOK. This is one of those companies that kind of sit in limbo of most people's mindsets. The odd thing is, is there's more people that hate this company than there is the people that love it. Then again, that's only speaking on behalf of people that are on YouTube and hobbyists. Ha, we've seen this already with the iJoy Avenger. The only differences between this and that, is obviously one is SMOK, the other one is iJoy, but this one actually talks back. There could be some good uses in a device like this. For instance, if you're driving or you're doing something that requires both hands, you being able to talk to the mod would be nice. However, the features that they have as far as you talking to the mod, there's only a set amount of commands that work with said such device, whether that be Avenger or the I-Priv.
For instance, they have power up, and then for whatever reason, this thing talks back no matter what you do. If there's no atomizer on it, guess what? No atomizer. It almost is like it's insulting your intelligence. I get it that there's no atomizer, I'm looking at the mod. I'm trying to get into the menu. If you don't click the buttons quick enough in succession consecutively, it just says no atomizer. You could change your voices, there's three different other voices that could annoy the shit out of you, or two other, including the one that's default. This comes with some very questionable things. Why would you put a flashlight on the bottom of the mod? Especially if you're not figuring out quite how to shut it off, you're driving, you go to hit it, you're gonna blind the shit out of the person in front of the person in front of you. I didn't think I was gonna do a review. Two, three days went by, I'm looking at the device, I'm like God, I gotta do this eventually, some time or another, I have to do this.
And every time I looked at it, I'm like, Ugh, let's do something else. Let's review wire first, or cotton, or a pair of socks. There was a lot of things that I would've rather have reviewed aside from this. And we know how I feel at this point about reviewing the same thing, but this isn't the same thing over and over, this is something different, and it does bring the fact that the mod does speak back to you, but I don't really know how successful that is, or why you would need that. It comes with the TFV12. These are the three colors that I picked it up in. I guess for the purposes of the review, we're gonna go over the silver just because I think that's absolutely tacky. I can't go over the red one 'cause that reminds me of Iron Man. The rainbow one reminds me as if I was on My Little Pony, or I was featured as the star character on Smurfs. I really don't wanna play in a cartoon right now, so we're just gonna go with silver which is gonna make me look very 80's, you remember.
Actually, silver wasn't a thing in the 80's, that was more the 2000's. Everybody's all about the gold in the 80's, the big rope jammies. I should've picked some of those up. I wonder if they are really expensive. You guys know what I'm talking about. The old hip hop videos like Run-DMC, or Eric B. & Rakim, they had that really thick rope gold. I would like hear some comments down below if people really think that that was solid or not, 'cause if that was solid, oh my god, $20,000, $30,000. Without further ado, let's flip it. The SMOK I-Priv Kit Voice Control. Yep. Down here on the bottom, two 18650s, 21700, or dual 20700. You're definitely gonna get a lot of battery life out of this. When I first saw this online, the first thing I thought of, That thing is gonna be the size of a microwave oven. just because it looked really, really large. Little did I know, it was gonna be as thin as it was, however this is not a lightweight mod. I don't know if a real person is inside speaking back to you because this weighs a lot.
Basically, what a rim and a tire would weigh, is how much this weighs. If you're gonna use this, you're gonna need to get some kind of satchel or some kind of strap that's gonna attach to the bottom and the top part of the mod just to sling it over the shoulder. No, but for real, yeah, this thing is heavy. On the side of the box, UPC, all the information about the company right there. Sample not for sale. How about that? I guess I didn't pick this up for review. I guess I was sent it. Wait a minute. That can't be right, 'cause SMOK wouldn't send me two different batches. That's peculiar. Now, I remember what happened. I got this one, the silver, and the red one in a package from China which obviously was SMOK, and then I got this one. This is why I was getting confused, from Bahrain which I thought I had purchased, but I guess I didn't because this also has the sticker sample not for resale, but this came from Bahrain. I'm not 100% sure why Middle East is sending out SMOK mods, and it came in their typical package.
On the side, we have our scratch and sniff, this is going to be vanilla, caramel, taco, nacho flavor and scented. Lots of things going on here, lots of different flavors, and that's always SMOK keeping it funky monkey. And then your QuickReader on the side. Let's see what we get. On the back side of that baseball card stat sheet, go ahead and give you a freeze-frame. When a mod combines with AI, those of you that don't know, AI stands for artificial intelligence.
And apparently, some asshole doesn't know how to move his car out of a lane to let the emergency services go by. There's also a little light at the bottom you can set to see flickering light. And then over here, you'll see a mention of revolutionary strip coil. That's their whole thing. It's not quite mesh, it's basically Kanthal, but they put a bunch of holes in it so it resembles mesh. Let's open it up. Yeah, wow that's shiny as hell. Absolutely shiny, obnoxious SMOK box mod. Now, the red and the rainbow don't look as bad as this. I'm not quite sure as to why they would go with this whole chrome plastic dipped scheme, just because this is gonna be a fingerprint magnet. Sure, you may like this. I don't know how you would, it's just absolutely super shiny. It reminds me of like that guy with the Honda Civic with the really tiny rims. There are some nice blue accents on it. I guess it doesn't look horrible, but that shit is shiny as hell.
In the bottom of the box, a compartment that's gonna hold the mod, a silica gel pack, and make sure you don't eat it if you wanna survive. Some more paperworks. Oh my, and look it, another silica gel packet. I don't know why companies do that. There should be no reason why moisture is getting in here specifically if it's already laminated and sealed. I don't think laminated is the right word. You're gonna get a warranty card. The man machine dialogue. You couldn't have went with anything else. The man machine. Why can't it be binary? So if your battery looks like any of these pictures, aside from this correct one with the check mark, it's time to re-wrap the battery. If you don't have the capabilities of re-wrapping, you can always buy re-wraps or wraps that you just put over it. It's basically PVC tubing. I would not recommend you to use your battery if it looks like any of these. Even if there's a little bit of a nick on the side, just re-wrap it, or if you don't have the means of doing that, just buy another battery.
I know it seems like a little bit of a far stretch, but you're better off playing it safe, than you are sorry. Of course, you get a manual, but there's not really much to go over with this just because, well, it's just like every SMOK mod. The only difference is is this actually talks back. And of course, you do have a tank in there, which I think anybody at this point in time already knows how that tank is gonna function. The commands that they have. And I'm not quite sure why they are still not implementing I-Priv, X amount of power. I don't know why that is. You would think that if we're adding artificial intelligence, we're gonna try to make it a little bit smarter than just these commands. Let's just say, you wanna talk to it but you don't want it to talk back; that's not an option. Nope, the only thing you get is if you're gonna talk to it, it has to talk back. There's no way to shut off the way that it talks if you talk to it, super gaudy. Let's see what fits on the top of this. Now, anybody that's picking this up for a first time device, just keep in mind the reason why I do this is to make sure that later on down the road, when you wanna get a different device, if it's gonna fit in 30 mm, they're not going to work.
As it goes down, it catches those little lips that they have, so you're not gonna be able to do that, and you could get away with 28 mm. However, on the very bottom of the dripper, you're gonna see a little bit of an overhang and on the front side. However, you won't be able to see it looking down at the mod, just because the way that the mod is shaped. That is gonna be your screen right there, up and down here. Your side is your fire button, very, very, very clicky. This reminds me of those toys from the '90s where they took like a black toy and then they made it chrome. What's really super cool on this is the adapter that they're using for the dual 18650s. I don't know, I think that is super sexy. Instead of individual little ends, this is showing you how to put the batteries in and then put them in there. Now, the tray itself is going to be able to accommodate a 20700 and a 21700. 20700, let's just see how they fit in there. No problem whatsoever. And of course, and there is that lovely flash light.
Hello master. I am your new warrior.
One, two, three, four, five. Get ready.
Hello master. I am your new warrior.
Adjust the power, it's not gonna say anything, no matter what you do, it won't say anything until you actually initiate the fire button, then you're going to get this.
No atomizer.
Yep.
No atomizer.
Yep.
No atomizer.
Yep.
No atomizer.
No matter how many times you do that, she doesn't know how to shut her fucking mouth.
No atomizer.
If I try to get into the menu. The first thing this is gonna recognize is not the consecutive fires, but the first initial one. We're gonna use three clicks just to access the menu, one, two, three.
No atomizer.
Yep. First off, you'll see that this light is lit up and no matter what you do, that's going to stay on. So you're gonna need to go down here to LED setting and then you're going to shut that off. Fade and then we're going to, off. One, two, three.
No atomizer.
Oh my god, shut up! Mode setting, that's gonna allow you to change the different variations; wattage, titanium, nickel, stainless steel, memory settings. This is not your co-efficiency. This is actually memory 1 through 20. Notice how she ain't saying shit right now; she has got nothing to say. We're just gonna hit wattage. You select your wattage what you want. Then you can set how hard it hits. Soft, normal or hard. Select that, good to go. You can do the same thing by pressing the up and the...
Locked. Locked. Unlocked. No atomizer.
If you press the up and the fire button, we're gonna let her say, No atomizer.
No atomizer.
And then you could select soft, normal, or hard. Do you realize, no matter everything you do, she has to say something. She's that annoying girlfriend that you could never get rid of. Every time you would say something, she'd be first to jump on and try to finish your question or your answer. Obnoxious. Now, if we press the down and the fire button...
No atomizer.
You can do a quick selection...
No atomizer.
You can do a quick selection for what you want by adjusting it through mode setting. Go back to the menu, one, two, three.
No atomizer.
Go over here to puff setting. You could set the puffs or reset it. Go over here to my setting. Change how much it increments the power when you ask her to upgrade it, also, when you say My wattage that's the wattage it's gonna give you. You can really fine-tune that only really by one watt. You can't do half or 0.1 increments. One, two, three.
No atomizer.
Do you see how much... It's so annoying, how many times she says that. If we go down here, and we decide that we don't like her mouth, we go over to voice setting and then, well, here we go.
Voice has changed. Voice has changed. Voice has changed.
I don't know why she has a British accent. Once you select what you want, you go down here to voice on or off, you shut that off. You won't have to worry about her saying No atomizer. However, you can't speak to the mod. It goes hand-in-hand, kind of sucks, but for the rest of the review, I am not going to keep that enabled. Then you have screen, which is self-explanatory, just gonna let you set the different accents that you're gonna see on the screen and we're gonna leave that there. And then screen time is how long it's going to stay on after you hit the fire button, 15 seconds is the lowest. One, two, three. Voice setting we just went over. LED setting, is the LED on the bottom. Let's go over the commands, just because I know people are gonna wanna do this. It's very hard to tell, but up here when the voice setting is on, there's gonna be a little microphone. Obviously, that's not there, because the voice setting is off. Using the commands that they have here, let's just say, Hello I-Priv. Hello I-Priv. Do you see how she doesn't respond? Now, if we turn that on, one, two, three. Over here down the voice setting, put that down. Hello I-Priv.
I'm here.
There you go. You see. So she's here, she's ready to go. My wattage.
Mission complete.
That's the wattage that I set. Higher power.

What the fuck? Higher power. Hello I-Priv.
I'm here.
No you're not. Wattage up.
Wattage mode ready.
Oh my God. What you should be able to say is, Hello I-Priv, 55 Watts. And it would do it. Because that would make sense. I think where we're at right now, the way that this is, this is more of a gimmick than it is for functionality. And apparently, when she shuts down like that... Hello, I-Priv. Hello I-Priv. What is the point of it being voice control if I can't control... Hello I-Priv.
No atomizer.
You have to click the button for you to wake her up. That is the I-Priv. Let's bring it on the top. There's obviously no tank on this, because I wanna show you something. Here we are back on top with the I-Priv, and as you can tell, there is absolutely nothing on top of it. And the reason why is I wanna show you something. Question I have for the mod is, will it accept awkward speaking? Meaning, if you have a little bit of a twang or a little bit of a ghetto or maybe a little bit more feminine than what you'd like to be, will it respond to you? I guess we're gonna see right now. Very, very obvious when the mod is on, and it's in stand-by, it cannot respond to anything. Hello I-Priv. Hello I-Priv. Now, if we hit the fire button.
No atomizer.
Hello I-Priv.

Ho ho ho. She responds with you getting sexy. That's what I'm talking about. Get in my belly. That's nice. So you can see, she kinda has no discrimination. No matter where you are out in the world, you might not... Well, I guess if you have a really thick accent. You know what they should do, is... Here's a good question. In your respective country, is she in that language? I'm sure someone out there has got this and they're from Malaysia, or wherever. Is it actually in Malaysian? Because what happens if that country is not primarily English and they speak the native language for their country? Does the I-Privs respond the same way? For instance, in China, does this thing speak Chinese? That's a damn good question. Is it like DVDs or like Playstation 4 games, where they need to be a certain format for them to be read on certain PS4's?
These are all questions that I have to ask the mod, but I don't think it can answer me. The question is whether or not do I think this is useful? Not really. I think it's more of a gimmick than it is for functionality. Meaning that, look at our phones, right. Like anybody has an iPhone, you have Siri. Or anybody that has Google, you have Alexa. I'm not quite sure who else is out there that really matters, but maybe Windows, I think has Erica. That might be Bank of America, Erica. Yep, that's right. I don't know if those speak different languages. I would... I am very interested in that. I feel like that is a very good question. Think about your phone functionality. A lot of it you could do with your voice and you'll wake up the phone, Hey Siri.
Mm-hmm?
What is the weather? Hey Siri.
Uh-huh?
What is the weather?
It's currently cloudy and 68 degrees in Edison. Expect rain starting in the afternoon, then cloudy skies in the evening. Temperatures are heading down from 68 degrees this afternoon to 64 tonight.
Well, I don't know about you, but I think that's a little ironic that my phone is in my fucking hand not but six inches away from my jammies and she's responding before she's responding. Hey Siri.
Mm-hmm.
Why is she answering me like that? You make it so the mod can respond like that, like with a nice sexual voice. I feel more people would get it, 'cause there's some lonely people out there. Before you know it, you're looking at the mod, you're like, Hey, how you doing? I'm not gonna show you how this hits, because we all know how SMOK works. But I wonder if I lick it, will it respond. Let's see.
Hello I-Priv. You know what they need to change, is that. I get it, that there's no atomizer, I should... If I'm trying to access the menu, and you keep saying that, I get it. Like, how many times are you going to tell me? Jesus... Like shut the... Like shut up. If they change it so you could shut off the way it talked back to you, I feel it would function a lot better. This is going out to SMOK. If you really, really wanna perfect this and really make this useful, make it useful, make it so it's hands-free. Meaning I could say, Hello I-Priv. No matter what it is, and I should be able to call it what I want, if I wanna call it sock muffin, I should be like, Hey sock muffin. And it's like, Hey, what up there dude? Hey, what's up there pickle dick? You know that's... That would be cool. I don't know about the pickle part, but it would definitely be cool if I, Hey, sugar nipples. And it's like, Yo, what up dog?
That would be cool. It doesn't do that. It's only set to certain commands, which makes me believe that it really is just a gimmick. The mod itself is not very thick at all. It is pretty compact, but it's very, very solid. Guys, I don't know how else to show you, but this thing is very heavy. Trying to think of something that's really heavy that most people would know. The Aegis with a 26650 in it is about how much this weighs. There's not really any movement in the door. It's not a bad device. This chrome looks absolutely tacky as shit. I guess we'll put something on there, just so we can see what is exactly going on; how this thing hits.
Now, a typical SMOK device. It's not horrible, but I feel that anybody that buys this device, you're not buying it for the functionality. Well, you are in a sense, you're not buying it because how it hits or how it feels. You're buying it, because you wanna play around with the voices. I'm still waiting to hear somebody say these are commands that aren't written on it; that it actually does. I said something to Bree and this fired off and changed the wattage. I'm sure if you said, Hello I-Priv. And just said a bunch of things, it may respond and hear only what it wants to hear.
It kinda sounds like your wife, doesn't it? They only hear what they wanna hear. It's just the same thing with... And what kind of name is I-Priv? Like what is that? What nationality is that? You should be able to rename it. Hey hey, what's up there taco shoes? I can't even rate this on a higher tier or even take this for serious. If I was to rate this device on a zero to 10, a four, a five. I can't sit here and recommend this device to anybody. I'm giving it a four or five just because it does function. I'm gonna go more for the four. Put this in the lower tier of rating. You may be that person out there that gets this device and you're like, Oh I can talk to it. That's great. That's why I wanna buy it. I can't see that actually being a thing. It does respond very, very well, a lot better than the Revenger does or Avenger. I apologize. I'm getting them all mixed up 'cause they're all basically the same shit. It being able to respond to adaptive voice, it's not bad. This should be a tell-tale sign.
If you're gonna make a device, and you're gonna charge the amount you want for this, at least give it a little bit more intelligence. After all, it is artificial, it's not real. There should be no reason why you can't program that to accept more commands or more custom commands. Or you could do one better and then calibrate it for your voice and then make custom commands. That would make a mod fantastic and worth the price point that this is. The price that this is at right now, oh, that's a chunky price tag man. That's up there with Lost Vape products. Again, SMOK you guys have the money, make this more adaptive, and more commands, and more custom, then you could sell it for the price point that it's at. Right now, I don't feel like this device is worth anything more than 50 bucks. If you end up finding it and you watch this video later on down the road, or you're just finding me and you have to ask yourself the question, Is this worth 40, 50 bucks? Sure. It's a dual 21700, so that in itself is a win, and I've kept it real, have you? Jai Haze out.
